…The evening was amazingly quiet. Of course, I have no point of reference since I rarely go into the dark.  I usually spend my winter evenings inside, waiting it out.  I don’t do dark well.  I wait, in anticipation, for the Winter Solstice, the one day I am a pagan….

    Another good aritcle Helen. You don’t do dark well, I don’t do winter well. However, there are two thing that make winter bareable in the garden. Camellias, and the dying back of all of the summer growth, so the garden is revealed. We have yet to have a frost yet, expediting the process.

    • Les, I don’t like winter much either which is why I have spent so much time building my winter interest. You are so right, there is a lot to be enjoyed in the winter landscape.
